Our Strategic Goals:

  1. Establish and maintain Scripture Therapy® Center, Inc., and its divisions as a ministry of excellence for current and emerging mission, vision, purpose, and goals priorities.
  2. Consistently deliver effective ministry teachings, counseling, coaching, mentoring, and leadership, training, and education.
  3. Provide timely, effective and responsible ministry, leadership, consultation and research, utilizing feedback from students, staff, and persons gifted in ministry operations, assessments, and delivery services.
  4. Secure, stabilize, develop, and properly apply funding, facilities, human resources, and information technology/audio visual processes in alignment with organizational operational needs.

  • Yielding: We pursue knowledge, wisdom, and character based on the Word of God; the Holy Spirit’s teaching; counseling and power; always striving for improvement. We teach and counsel individuals to be empowered by God; stay on course; and accountable to get what God wants them to have.

  • CharacterWe practice what we teach and live with Christ in our own lives. We fulfill our promises and commitments, holding ourselves to a high level of integrity. We give credit to authors for their work; individuals for their creativity and contributions; and give generously of our time, resources, and attention to the needs of others.

  • Internal Empowerment: We trust ourselves to know that we have the answer “inside us.” We challenge individuals to exhibit supporting, encouraging, listening, accepting, trusting, respecting, and negotiating differences, finding answers to their own challenges. We share our own personal stories that illustrate how others can become more Christ-like.

We advocate on behalf of individuals and welcome them to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ practicing “unity without bondage.”

  • CollaborationWe develop partnerships with individuals, groups, churches, ministries, missions, faith-based organizations, educational institutions, corporations, communities, and interact with a multitude of segments of society.

We encourage individuals to use their skills, knowledge, abilities, and character to provide innovative support to their family, church, ministry, mission, or faith-based organization, and sphere of influence.

We continually engage in learning the latest principles and practices to maintain and enhance our programs and services. We are resourceful in helping others become successful in addressing behavior and mental health challenges, using Scripture, Choice Theory Psychology, and Life Experiences; and pray & pay forward the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Who Are We

Dr. Les Triché and Dr. RoxAnne Triché, Christian Counselors and Scripture Therapists

Genesis 2:24 says, “… the two shall become one.”

In 2014, this team married and were led by the Holy Spirit to expand their teachings, counseling, leadership,and certification programs.

God ordained this amazing team to serve as Scripture Therapists and Christian Counselors to perfect and equip others to become the same. They created the accredited Scripture Therapy® College & Seminary, offering certifications, endorsements, and degrees from Associate to Ph.D.

As the founders, Drs. Les and RoxAnne Triché serve as President and Executive Vice President for Scripture Therapy College & Seminary, a division of Scripture Therapy Center, Inc., and Internal Empowerment, Inc., respectively.

They are called by God as teachers and counselors, ordained with His power to use the benefit of personal trials and excellent training to encourage people to self-counsel, and then counsel others.

Drs. Les and RoxAnne Triché co-authored of several books and on-line educational programs: Scripture Therapy® & Choice Theory; Self-Counseling with STACT: Getting What God Wants You to Have; Scripturally Take Charge of Your Life; The Filter of God: Spirit Alignment System; Scripture Therapy® & Recalibrating to God; Unity Without Bondage: A Call for Oneness With God and Others, to name a few.

They are the creators of on-line programs: Internal Empowerment Coaching and Behavior Health Counseling at Loyola Marymount University, Extension; Take Charge of Your Life, Glasser Institute for Choice Theory-US; CE providers for California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists; and training in Choice Theory/Reality Therapy, Glasser Institute for Choice Theory.

They provide leadership to ministries, businesses, individuals, and organizations, using Scripture, Choice Theory® Psychology, and Life Experiences, as a form of psychotherapy training. They have trained, counseled, and coached thousands of ministers, educators, middle & high school students, veterans, CEOs, incarcerated persons, and others.

Les Triché earned a Doctorate in Christian Counseling; MA in Christian Counseling; Ph.D. (ABD) in Judicial Law & Public Policy; MA in Public Policy; MA in Public Administration; BA in Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice & Corrections; Certified in Vet-2-Peer Counseling; a graduate of Saddleback Church Counseling; and a graduate of the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education.

Dr. Les is an ordained Presiding Bishop, and President of Scripture Therapy Center, Inc. and Internal Empowerment, Inc. He serves as Sr. Faculty with William Glasser International, and on the West region Board of Directors for Glasser Institute for Choice Theory. Certified by the late, renowned psychiatrist, Dr. William Glasser, MD, of the William Glasser Institute in Choice Theory/Reality Therapy Certified; Basic and Advanced Instructor; and Practicum Supervisor. He is a lifetime member of the Association of Black Psychologist, and member of The College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy.

RoxAnne Triché, Executive Vice President/Scripture Therapy® Minister

RoxAnne Triché earned a Doctorate in Scripture Therapy; MA in Christian Counseling; BA in Biblical Studies; certified in Internal Empowerment Coaching, Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, California; certified Family Mediator, California State University, San Bernardino; and graduate of Saddleback Church Counseling Program, Irvine, CA.

Dr. RoxAnne is an ordained minister and serves as the Executive Vice President of Scripture Therapy Center, Inc. and Internal Empowerment, Inc. She is Choice Theory Certified through William Glasser International and mentored by Carleen Glasser.

Personal Board of Directors, Scot Shier, Newport Beach, CA

Born and raised in the state of Washington, Scot Shier was the valedictorian of his graduating class and continued to excel at the U.S. Air Force Academy graduating with academic honors and acquiring a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. As an Aerospace Engineer, Scot served in the Air Force for over 10 years. He earned his Master of Science Degree in System Management from the University of Southern California. 

Scot is the Founder and President of Quintessential Financial Corp, which provides investment and insurance strategies for families and businesses. Scot selected the company name to recognize his being the proud father of the healthiest quintuplets on record (born 1996).

In addition to being a Certified Financial PlannerTM and Certified Kingdom Adviser®, Scot is also a licensed investment adviser and insurance agent since 1994.  He has been a professor of Retirement Planning at University of Redlands and UC Irvine Extension.  He serves on the Board of the Financial Planning Association in Orange County.

Personal Board of Directors, Laurie Bryson, Vancouver, WA

Laurie is a Christ-follower who has enjoyed a lifelong relationship with Jesus.  Like many relationships, there have been some high and low points, but knowing that He will never leave her and is always there has gotten her through many life challenges including the death of her young daughter, raising her two boys as a single mom from the time they were very young, and health issues.  She now desires to continue to grow in her relationship with Him and has embraced the Scripture Therapy® and Choice Theory courses, striving to discover all that God has for her and for others who God puts in her path.

Laurie currently works in the Investment Compliance and Regulatory field as a Supervisory Principal for a BrokerDealer/RIA firm in Portland, Oregon.  She holds an MBA in Business Marketing from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA and a BS in Business Finance from California State University, Fresno, graduating Magna Cum Laude with both degrees. She holds several registered representative and investment advisor licenses including the Series 7, 24, 66, 52, and 53 as well as a Washington State Insurance license.  She carries the professional designations of AIF, Accredited Investment Fiduciary and AIFA, Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst and serves on her company’s 401k Investment Committee.

From as young as she can remember, Laurie has been active and involved in church. She started singing in church when she was five and still sings in church today. She has been involved in leading groups for DivorceCare, Grief Recovery, Singles/Single Parents, VBS, Women’s Retreats, Experiencing God, Heart Change, First Place 4 Health, as well as general Bible Studies, enjoying the growth she sees in others as well as herself along the way.  As a mom with kids in the youth group, she was always there as a chaperone, assistant, group leader, chauffeur, or whatever was needed and even spent several years as a children’s choir director.  Presently she is involved in the worship team, women’s ministries, finance committee, and is an offering counter.  With the pandemic, she has lead all sorts of online Zoom activities including prayer meetings, Ladies Bible Study, Book Club, and game nights to help people stay connected during such a potentially isolating time.

Family is very precious to Laurie. In addition to her two adult sons, God has blessed her with a loving husband, three adult step children, three ‘bonus’ daughters-in-law, and six grandsons.  Even when life circumstances don’t make sense, she truly believes that God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.

Personal Board of Directors/Dean of Students, Kristin Davis, San Clemente, California

Kristin holds a Doctorate in Scripture Therapy®, a master’s degree in business administration with a special focus on Executive Leadership. Her passion is helping others to empower themselves as they navigate challenging circumstances and approach new opportunities.

Launching from her personal experience overcoming extreme challenges, she is focused on helping others. She is committed to seeing each student achieve their potential and grasp the opportunities that God has for their lives.

Keeping Jesus in the center of all navigation, Kristin is a firm believer in resiliency, second chances, and new beginnings. A three-time published author, entrepreneur, and certified Internal Empowerment Coach, Kristin brings her enthusiasm, diligence, and focus to STC&S.

Dr. Pamela Key: Visiting Instructor

Dr. Pamela Key earned a doctoral degree in Christian Counseling from Scripture Therapy & College & Seminary, with Summa Cum Laude and Valedictorian honors.

Her dissertation was Proscription of Homeless Women in Urban Communities: “Is There A Need For Support and Reform?” She also earned a master’s degree in Social Work and Nonprofit Program Management and Certificate from Indiana University with a concentration in Leadership and was a member of Phi Alpha Honor Society during that time.

Dr. Key is an ordained pastor with consecration in evangelism and outreach. She has 30+ years of experience in ministry with a demonstrated history of working with deprived, underserved, vulnerable and at-risk populations at home and abroad. She is proficient and accomplished in organizational leadership for community outreach and team building, with talents to plan, develop and implement programs and services. She is certified in Nonprofit Program Management. 

Her international ministry outreach has taken her to Ivory Coast West Africa, ministering to the Glorious Woman Sisterhood of Mt. Carmel church and to Kakinada India, helping the Missions to the Nations Women Sewing Program.

Her Kingdom gifts include evangelism, intercessory prayer, and leadership. She is the Women Organizing Women, Indiana Chapter – Co-founder and Executive Director of the Midwest and Southeast Divisions, where she develops, plan, and implement conferences and outreach programs, including fundraising; teach life skills designed to spreading the Gospel of Christ Christian locally and abroad; and mentor and coach women striving to be effective in their communities. 

Dr. Key’s experience includes research assessments on housing, AIDS, the elderly, and imprisoned women. She developed empowerment and skill-building programs for the Gary Housing Authority; Served on the Committee for Community Empowerment Coalition of Gary in conjunction with the Sherriff’s Department; and presented at prison ministries, including Another Chance Transitional Program and the Moving Forward 2. 

Dr. Key has 22+ years of successful experience in Social Work with a demonstrated history of working with vulnerable and at-risk populations. She is skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Crisis Intervention, Family Therapy, Case Management, and Team Building. She is a strong community and social service professional as a skilled visionary leader, with advocacy, communications, cultural competency, critical thinking, donor relations. She has given input and assisted with grant proposal development, NPO budgeting and ethics while coordinating with Fund Development Team for grants and fund -raising initiatives.

As Director of Client Services, for the Sojourner Truth House, located in Gary Indiana, she serves on the Executive Management Team, oversees Shelter and Outreach Programs, Community Resources and Pantry Services, Gateway Permanent Supportive Housing Program; works with her Case Management team to develop programs, case plans and self -sufficiency plans for homeless individuals & individuals living with mental illness, addictions, and victims of domestic violence. Dr. Key has created a network of community serving organizations to provide support for client events and conferences.

Personal Board of Directors, Dr. Lincoln Johnson, Mojave, California

Dr. Lincoln D. Johnson is an educator, consultant and specialist in educational leadership, equity and student success, diversity and inclusion, special education, globalization, multicultural education, language studies, speech, literature and composition/critical thinking. He has worked with the California Department of Corrections, Los Angeles Southwest College, Cerro Coso College, the California State University system, as well as Los Angeles County Office of Education, Los Angeles and Compton Unified School Districts. He teaches teacher preparation courses for California State University, English, Speech and Shakespeare for Cerro Coso Community College and English at Los Angeles Southwest College.

Dr. Johnson was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles and attended school in Compton from kindergarten through high school graduation. He went from navigating the tough streets of the neighborhood, to navigating college campuses, earning his Bachelor of Arts in English from Morehouse College, in Atlanta, Georgia. After returning to Compton to become an English teacher, he realized that success without purpose is fleeting, so he returned to school, earning his Master of Science in Publishing from Pace University in New York City. 

Ultimately, he returned to Los Angeles to live out his purpose as a teacher, focusing his career on his commitment to help at-risk and high-risk students reach their full potential. He does this through meaningful interaction, effective student engagement and leading by example. He earned Special Education, English and Administrative credentials from the California State University system and earned his Doctorate in Education at University of Southern California in Higher Educational Leadership. 

He continues to work on research to create global citizens through education – travelling to several countries, presenting at international conferences, and continually finding ways to provide education, experience and exposure to students from multicultural backgrounds and diverse socioeconomic statuses. He is the President and Founder of True Oil Publishing, FatBoyFresh World Travel Agency, wine ambassador, author, researcher, educational leader, and purported Left Legged Legend. He is developing the Johnson Ranking of Global Engagement (JRGE) to assist school systems and institutions worldwide in creating global citizens by expanding students’ worldviews and erasing borders and boundaries through education.

Personal Board of Directors, Donna Watkins, Montgomery, Illinois

Donna Watkins is a licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel who ministers from the grace gifts of Pastor/Teacher.  She serves beside her husband, Elton J. Watkins as Senior Leaders at Zion Covenant Church International, in Aurora, IL.

She releases the Word of God with wisdom and revelation, sharing practical principles for skillful application. Pastor Donna ministers from a place of transparency with an uncompromising, humorous edge to engage, uplift and challenge the hearer. Her message is filled with insight and genuine compassion.

As certified marriage counselors the couple have a clear mandate to build and empower the Body of Christ, through strong marriages and families.  They provide apostolic covering for several churches and ministries, locally and abroad.  They are forcefully advancing the Kingdom of God.

Donna’s apostolic mandate is to release present truth with clarity, to all believers and non, with the goal of fostering healthy, godly relationships and mutual accountability across ethnic and cultural boundaries. 

Pastor Donna is founder and overseer of Zion’s Woman’s Ministry, “Women of Influence” since 2002. She shares her life and experiences with ladies ages 13 and up. She has implemented, the Pathway to Purpose New Members Classes, as well as, established the Heart of Zion Worship & Arts Ministry.

Donna resides in a suburb of Chicago with her husband and the youngest of their six children.  They are also proud grandparents to six beautiful grandchildren.

Personal Board of Directors, Larry H. Jordan, Sr., Upper Marlboro, Maryland

Bishop Larry H. Jordan, Sr. holds a Doctor of Divinity is the Founder and Senior Pastor of The Believers Worship Center, Inc. in Upper Marlboro, MD. He is married to Pastor Delphine R. Jordan who serves as the Co-Pastor of their ministry.  

Bishop Jordan has been in ministry for over 35 years, he was ordained as a Pastor in 1991. He is an accomplished singer, songwriter, executive producer, and the author of the publication “Pastor Beware.” He has been a faithful pastor and teacher of the Word of God and continues to build on the foundation which has been laid through Jesus Christ.

He believes the Gospel of Christ and the church should impact the community.  His aspiration for the community is to complete the spiritual and moral values of life by promoting the adoption and application of higher social, economical, and professional standards. He is committed to youth and young adults being delivered from drug and alcohol addictions. Concerned about the needs of the homeless, battered, abused, and those who are incarcerated.

He has developed a ministry that reaches the community through various programs instituted to serve the needs of people. His goals are to implement a more intelligent, aggressive and serviceable citizenship, which will build better communities by focusing on helping people. 

He wants to see a new beginning in life for these individuals. He wants to see stronger families through marriage and prepare teens for entry into the social-economic world through higher education.

Bishop Jordan strives for “excellence” and accepts nothing less from his co-laborers in ministry, establishing The Disciples School of Ministry to prepare and ordain men and women who are called to the ministry. He created the Federation of International Ministries, Inc. This ministry’s focus centers around missions to help build, cover, and oversee churches and ministries around the world.

Bishop Jordan continually commits to reform the lives of individuals by setting a standard through preaching, teaching and demonstration of the true gifts of the Spirit and the power of God. He wants to do more than merely build a church, but to create an institution wherein our Lord Jesus Christ can be glorified through the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Bishop Jordan and The Believers Worship Center are determined to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and build the Kingdom of God in the community and within the body of Christ.

Personal Board of Directors, Jim Roy, Angwin, California

Jim Roy, Ed.D., is a recently retired educator having taught, served as principal, and served as associate superintendent for 22 years within the Adventist K-12 school system. For the last 20 years he has been a Professor of Education in the teacher credential program at Pacific Union College in northern California.

Jim’s doctoral dissertation was on the development of the ideas of William Glasser, a project which led to his becoming Glasser’s authorized biographer. His biography – William Glasser: Champion of Choice – was published in 2014. Jim has also written Soul Shapers: A Better Plan for Parents for Educators, which compared Glasser’s writing to the writing of Ellen White, one of the founders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 

Both Glasser and White described the advantages of non-coercive school approaches, and Soul Shapers (2005) provides actual conversations and strategies for non-coercive change.

Jim received his Basic, Advanced, and Certification courses in Reality Therapy and Choice Theory, and later became a faculty member of the Glasser Institute. He has taught Choice Theory to schools across the U.S. and even around the world in places like Bangkok, Beirut, and Bermuda, to name a few.

In regard to his interest in serving on the board of Scripture Therapy® College, Jim writes:

“More and more I have been thinking about the ways in which Choice Theory has helped me understand the Bible and the keys to living a Kingdom life. The concepts of internal control are profound and I am convinced that God created us with abilities and capacities that even we ourselves miss. Les and Roxanne are trying to get the Word out that the principles of Choice Theory are as dependable as the laws of the natural world, and I very much appreciate the mission and goals of Scripture Therapy® College. From my perspective the college curriculum wants to unpack the ideas of Choice Theory through the lens of Scripture, and just as important, wants to unpack Scripture through the lens of Choice Theory. I can very much get behind such a mission. I want to see Scripture Therapy® College grow in their ability to make a positive impact on people’s lives.”

Personal Board of Directors, Toni B White, Los Angeles, California

Toni B White is a Believer in Christ and does not mind sharing her faith. She has over 20 years of social work experience.  Currently, she serves as a HCHV Supervisor in the Transitional Housing Program at WLA-VA, which assists homeless and at risk of becoming homeless Veterans secure and maintain transitional housing.  

She has previously served as the Acting Contract Coordinator in the HUD VASH program, which assisted Veterans secure and maintain permanent housing.  The HUD VASH program is a collaborative effort between the VA, local Contract Community Partners and the local Public Housing Authority Agency.

She also served as the Acting Grant and Per Diem (GPD) Coordinator, and as a GPD Liaison at WLA-VA for 10 years; has worked for the Department of Mental Health, as the sole Social Worker for a 40-bed locked psychiatric unit at St. Francis Medical Center; and served as a Therapist for boys in various Group Homes. 

Toni is an educator. She has previously held positions as an Assistant Professorship and Program Coordinator for the Alcohol and Drug Certificate program at California State University-Dominquez Hills, Extension for 12 years, ending her tenure in December 1999 after the program closed. She is currently an educator at Loyola Marymount University and for the past 7 years has taught n their Alcohol and Drug Certifying Program. In 2019, she was approached to create the curriculum for LMU’S Peer Support Specialist Certificate Program and heads that grant as their lead Professor. 

She holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from USC and an BA in Psychology from San Diego State University.  She holds her License in Social Worker through the Board of Behavioral Science; a Certificate of Alcohol and Drug Counseling, California State University, Dominquez Hills, CA; and a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor-III, with the National Association of Forensic Counselors, Ft. Wayne, IN. She was honored by The National Honor Society in Psychology; Psi Chi, as a lifetime member. 

When she is not working hard to end Veteran homelessness or teaching students to be active and engaging AOD Counselors & Peer Supports, she spends her time and energy with her enthusiastic and energetic 12-year-old daughter. She also works alongside with her mother and brother managing their family businesses, which includes Brinson Care Facilities, homes for the Developmentally Disabled and the Mentally Ill individuals; and their family restaurant, Ms. B’s M&M Soul Food Restaurant in Inglewood, CA.

Personal Board of Directors, Rosemarie Sanchez Rose, Meridian, Texas

Rosemarie retired after 28 years with IBM, a Fortune 500 company, and now lives in central Texas. She accomplished many firsts: before joining IBM, first main frame female computer operator at another Fortune 500 company, and while at IBM she developed and taught first storage management online course, and first disaster recovery course, which proved vital after 9-11 attack on World Trade Center in New York, NY.

She received an A.A. Degree in Data Processing from Eastern New Mexico University, Portales, NM and a B.S. Degree in Human Relations and Business from Amber University, Garland TX, graduating with honors (Summa Cum Laude) and receiving the Presidential Citation:

for her courage and perseverance in attaining a degree. Her tenacity merits recognition because it symbolized the spirit and courage of all the graduates of the university and services as an example of how one can achieve great feats when there is a courageous spirit that will not accept defeat.”

Rosemarie has a Texas Public School Teaching Certification in addition to a Librarian Certification. She strongly values education and believes education can solve social issues. During her educational experience she interviewed Jane Elliott, world renowned school teacher, known for her famous “Blue eyes/Brown eyes” exercise, which she taught the day after Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. Her classroom mascot was “Curious George,” the mischievous monkey written by H. A. and Margret Rey. Rosemarie believes education is being curious about something and is not just for young minds.

Retirement hasn’t stopped her from being a lifelong learner. She attends Bible study weekdays and has completed Scripture Therapy® and Choice Theory® along with Basic Intensive Training from Internal Empowerment, Inc. on weekends. She lives on a ranch with her soon to be retired husband and their four dogs.

Currently working on his doctorate. He was born in Los Angeles, California and currently serves as Operations Pastor of the City of Refuge Ministries Inc., under the leadership of Bishop Noel Jones in Gardena, California. 

Edwin’s passion is “Reconciling a nation back to God, self, others, and the world.” Through childhood difficulties and a speech impediment, he learned to use his imagination and creativity to develop techniques to communicate with others. With perseverance to speak, he overcame the speech impediment. 

He currently serves on as a Board Member on several non-profit organizations. He advises and mentors many youths and young adults, with a focus on building and rebuilding their self-esteem. His mentorship includes overseeing internship programs for individuals internationally.
