The word ‘counseling’ brings up a variety of images for most people. We encourage you to put all those to the side because we use a very non-traditional approach.

Christian Counseling and Scripture Therapy® involves gently and quickly addressing the needs individuals face today. There is no need to spend hours laying on a couch discussing the past. While we do not invalidate anyone’s past, we know that you are free today to make the choices that will meet your needs, right now.

This is exciting for everyone! We used the guidance of the Holy Spirit (God’s voice speaking to us), and the principles and applications of Choice Theory psychology to meet you where you are, discover what you need, and support you as you chart a path for the life you want.

Most people are empowered to direct their life in ten sessions or less. This is the natural time frame for learning and putting into practice Scripture Therapy. 

We are called by God as teachers and counselors, ordained with His power to use the benefit of personal trials and excellent training to encourage people to self-counsel, and then counsel others.

The student who begins taking courses at Scripture Therapy College & amp; Seminary has a primary interest in counseling or coaching from a Christ-centered perspective. This is a student whose mission and calling are to assist others with their Christian journey as a supporter, counselor, or coach. 

Each of the courses offered in this certification can be transferred into our complete academic programs (AA/BA/MA/PhD) or be taken individually and culminate in the certification. There are some who want dive deeper into this field, and others who want to take their time as they move through the coursework. For some people a professional certification is all they need, and for others they want to submerse their intellect and praxis in a Christian Counseling degree. We are here to support each student on their individual academic sojourn.

Simply put, someone who practices Scripture Therapy® goes to greater spiritual depths with the people that they assist in a Christian-therapeutic way.
