What is Scripture Therapy?

Scripture Therapy takes the truths and principles found in the Bible and combines this with the complimentary Reality Therapy and Choice Theory®. It is our privilege to be anointed by God to use these principles to spread the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the world. We believe it ties in perfectly with the practical applications of the Christian faith.

Scripture Therapy is the teaching of how to:

  • Think and act through the Spirit of God
  • Self-counseling through the Holy Spirit
  • Counsel individuals to activate the “Mind of Christ” in them
  • Yield and align to the Holy Spirit’s teaching and counseling
  • Effective use prayer, faith and application of the Word of God
  • Recalibrate, restore and reallocate resources to get what God wants you to have
  • Avoid “addictive distractions” that lead to procrastination, detours, fear, and doubt
  • Facilitate “unity without bondage;” use Christ-centered character, attributes and teachings
  • Pay forward Scripture Therapy training to the world, spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ
What is the purpose of Scripture Therapy?

This website provides access to the practical applications of Scripture, Reality Therapy and Choice Theory® which releases individuals, corporations, and institutions to enjoy a life of joy, purpose, meaning, and full responsibility.

This training helps individuals learn why and how they and others behave, and how to reorganize their lives to enhance their happiness and improve their relationships. Our vision is to hear God’s voice; follow His instructions; and teach Scripture Therapy to the world.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Churches, ministries, missions, seminaries, and faith-based organizations’ members who effectively and responsibly use this training, will glean its benefits. Activating this training will help minimize excessive counseling workloads of pastors and ministers, enabling them to spend more time studying and teaching the Word of God. (Acts 6: 2):

Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said,
“It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables.

Individuals will learn “Why and how they behave;” relate Scripture to their lives; find happiness; enhance their relationships, behavior, choices, and trust in God.

Through Scripture Therapy, individuals:

  • Find Happiness
  • Discover and value themselves
  • Become confident and self-assured
  • Find freedom from addicting habits, blame, and lack of responsibility

Benefits experienced by corporations include:

  • Improve employer-employee relations
  • Improve teamwork
  • Increase employee productivity
  • Increase employee moral
  • An overall positive work environment
Who can benefit from Scripture Therapy?

Scripture Therapy is effective with pastors, ministers, counselors, leaders, lay-persons, managers, employees, families, troubled teens, students, military veterans, mental health patients, incarcerated individuals, and others from all walks of life.

Scripture Therapy has been successfully used by individuals experiencing challenges with racial injustice, bullying, social interaction, anger, anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders, marriage and family issues, workplace conflict, career counseling and substance abuse.

How is Scripture Therapy different from a self-help group like Alcoholics Anonymous?

Both Scripture Therapy and Alcoholics Anonymous respect the importance of individual responsibility and faith in a higher power. However, Scripture Therapy takes an in-depth look into an individual’s Quality World, needs, and wants.

This understanding is used to address the needs that any unhappy person (not just alcoholics) is trying to meet in unhealthy or irresponsible ways. Meeting these needs is at the root of addictive behaviors and is an important part of taking responsibility for our choices and finding healthy ways to get what we want.

Scripture Therapy recognizes the value of learning and growth from many sources, including self-help groups. Participating in these will be important for some and we fully support this choice when used alongside Scripture Therapy training.
