DEPENDABLE THOUGHTS

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Scripture Therapy® Center, Inc. and Scripture Therapy College & Seminary (Internal Control University) [STC&S – ICU] is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry organization, ordained by God to provide specialized teaching, counseling, chaplaincy, behavioral health, mental wellness, spiritual growth, and leadership programs.

These services lead to certifications, endorsements, degrees, ordinations, and even accreditation for programs and organizations for the Body of Christ.

The foundational pillar of STC&S – ICU is Choice Theory® Connections (CTC), developed in 2007, by Dr. Les Triché, later joined by Dr. RoxAnne Triché in 2012. It is a groundbreaking framework developed under the mentorship of the renown Dr. William Glasser, board-certified psychiatrist and founder of Reality Therapy, Choice Theory, and Lead Management.

STC&S – ICU represents decades of research, application, and transformative education, equipping individuals with practical tools for self-regulation, emotional resilience, spiritual and personal transformation.

Rooted in behavioral science, faith-based counseling, and faith-driven governance, we offer an evidence-based approach to holistic wellness and sustainable behavioral transformation.

We integrated Glasser’s Choice Theory® Connections with Scripture Therapy®, pastoral care, clergy development, and behavioral health principles. This integration—now recognized as Internal Control Living (ICL)—emphasizes:

  • Self-regulation
  • Internal motivation
  • Personal responsibility

Through ICL, individuals develop practical tools for self-counseling, coaching, and spiritual growth, under the leadership of The Holy Spirit, leading to lasting personal transformation

STC&S – ICL provides theologically sound principles to support individuals, families, ministries, and communities in facing life’s challenges. Our programs integrate Biblical teachings with proven behavioral strategies, empowering individuals to yield to God’s guidance, embrace His calling, and live with joy and purpose.

We deliver Christ-centered chaplaincy, counseling, coaching, clergy studies and other studies to the world through equipping and perfecting the Body of Christ, helping individuals become internally empowered by the Holy Spirit. Our expertise includes church governance, and administration, board training, and episcopal oversight services.

We acknowledge, embrace, and live according to 1 John 4:4 (AMP)- “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world”

“Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God, and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind].”

Our foundation is the unwavering belief that Scripture is sufficient for all matters of life.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (AMP):

“All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

We firmly believe:

The Way is His (God). The Path is Yours! (Choices),

Scripture Therapy is the Solution (The Word of God).

Through STC&S – ICL, we offer:

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Scripture Therapy®?

Scripture Therapy® takes the truths and principles found in the Bible and combines this with the complimentary Reality Therapy and Choice Theory®. It is our privilege to be anointed by God to use these principles to spread the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the world. We believe it ties in perfectly with the practical applications of the Christian faith.

Scripture Therapy® is the teaching of how to:

  • Think and act through the Spirit of God
  • Self-counseling through the Holy Spirit
  • Counsel individuals to activate the “Mind of Christ” in them
  • Yield and align to the Holy Spirit’s teaching and counseling
  • Effective use of prayer, faith and application of the Word of God
  • Recalibrate, restore and reallocate resources to get what God wants you to have
  • Avoid “addictive distractions” that lead to procrastination, detours, fear, and doubt
  • Facilitate “unity without bondage;” use Christ-centered character, attributes and teachings
  • Pay forward Scripture Therapy® training to the world, spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ
What is the Purpose of Scripture Therapy®?

This training helps individuals learn why and how they and others behave,  and how to reorganize their lives to enhance their joy and happiness to improve their relationships. We seek to hear God’s voice; follow His instructions; and teach STACT to the world.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,

“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

What are the Benefits of Scripture Therapy®?

Churches, ministries, missions, seminaries, and faith-based organizations’ members who effectively and responsibly use this training, will glean its benefits. Activating this training will help minimize excessive counseling workloads of pastors and ministers, enabling them to spend more time studying and teaching the Word of God. (Acts 6: 2):

Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said,

“It is not desirable that we should leave the Word of God and serve tables.”

Individuals will learn “Why and how they behave;” relate Scripture to their lives; find ways to access the Fruit of the Spirit; enhance their relationships, behavior, choices, and trust in God.

How is Scripture Therapy® different from a self-help group like Alcoholics Anonymous?

Both STACT and Alcoholics Anonymous respect the importance of individual responsibility and faith in a higher power. However, STACT takes an in-depth look into an individual’s Quality World, needs, wants., and total behavior.

This understanding is used to address needs an unhappy person (not just alcoholics) are trying to meet, perhaps in unhealthy or irresponsible ways. Meeting these needs is at the root of addictive behaviors and is an important part of taking responsibility for their choices and finding healthy ways to get what God wants them to have.

STACT recognizes the value of learning and growing through the power of the Holy Spirit, and other sources, including self-help groups. Participating in these will be important for some and we fully support this choice when used alongside Scripture.
